Description
Third in my Inuyasha "circle" series, this time of Kikyou. I've never drawn Kikyou except for the headshot I had on display for my table at A-kon, so it was actually some new ground for me. I'm not used to drawing creatures like the soul stealers, either. (And I'm not even going to attempt to spell the Japanese name for them... it would be butchered.)So... yes. Not much to say about this one. I have another few of these "circle" pics in the works still.

Wow that looks really good considering you said you don't draw her as often as others and the Soul Stealers must have bee a pain in the ass to draw, I wonder how long it takes the actual artists to do it.

How is it that you are so prolific and still so gol darn good? I really like the sinuous grace of the Shini-dama-chuu. Kikyou's sad expression is also really good. While I don't always like her in Cannon, I do like your picture of her.
You know, it makes me think of the scene in Lucky Ones when Midoriko and Kikyou merge. There would have to be a moment of saddness when she says good bye to the Shini-dama-chuu.

i'm personally not too keen on kikyo, but i have to admit, sometimes i pity her. i love the way you've done her here, almost like you've done her a few times. the soul stealers are really good (i sometimes watch those things and think they must be hell to draw). great job!

Well in my opinion, for someone who hasn't drawn Kikyou very much, you draw her extremely well. She always has such a beautifully tragic air, and you've captured it marvelously. As usual, wonderful job (and I can't even think the Japanese name for her soul-stealers, so the fact that you get that far is an accomplishment in my book).

No, they're not suns... the serpant looking things are Kikyou's soul stealers and the orbs in the background are the souls that Kikyou uses for nourishment.
