Thanks!!! It was a nice moment to see it, although the general level of quality in my gallery isn't high enough yet to reap the 'benifits' of getting a DD i.e. lots of new watchers. I'm not sure even if that is a benifit... I think I have enough already to get feedback on what I do, and yet still know who the people are and watch most of them back. What does one do with 10,000 watchers, I mean, really? You can't feature them all, you don't know who most of them are. I suppose you concentrate on the first friends you made on here... but there are plenty of other nice people among those 10,000 watchers who want to communicate with you on a friendly level... do you just ignore them?? Perhaps it's better to be an 'unknown'

You're welcome! I never thought of that! I can not imagine! I thank for favs and try to look at all the new submits but that does take so much time! I guess it is a good puzzle! I as yet have not had a DD but when I get over 50 favs I get a bit overwhelmed!

I gave up thanking long ago, just can't keep up. I think the best thanks is to support people who regularly support you. Cheers!

I agree. I may be getting to the point of not thanking. Cheers!

Just do it
When there are so many people it just becomes mechanical and meaningless, along with answering 'you're welcome' to every thank you. What matters is the art or 'art' that you and other people are making... Faves and feedback are far more valuable, imho... as is your precious time!!

I know you are totally correct, but I feel like I will lose something!?

...but you will gain more...

I still thank people very occasionally, but it takes an evening or two to get through everyone and so I don't do it too often. One must remember that aside from a few closer 'friends' on DA most people are not REALLY your friend - they won't feel an aching sense of loss if you stop posting on DA or go on holiday for a few weeks. Neither will they think the less of you if you don't thank them for every fave. Most reasonably active people are too busy to notice with creating, submitting, faving, clubs, answering messages...

I comment on people's work occasionally, fave the stuff I particularly like, give them some journal space - support their work... That's what I appreciate from other people and it seems to work for me - people are different of course

As I sit here doing this typing thing I am not doing art! I think your right. When you stopped thanking, did you tell people? If so, how

I wrote something in the description to a few pictures, and linked to the NNTR in my sig (it's still there). I stopped writing it under pictures after a while, when nobody complained and everything just continued as before, but with more time for my 'art'

I have tried to solve the issue of 'supporting people back' by watching everyone who watches me but with 120+ watchers now (60 or so are actually active) this is also getting time consuming. I think 100 watchers is all one needs to give you an idea of whether your latest upload is good, and all one can manage to keep up with and support. After that maybe just watch the very best of them... if someone feels the need to have 1000s of watchers either they need to be on 24 hours a day... or to get so good at what they do that people are queuing up to watch and fave their inspiring masterpieces

That's good to hear! Just take it easy when you de-sztrakturalralize.... you don't want to get zhabendz.

I'll be fine, I've taken the anti-zhabendz implant which is now being distributed to artists with symptoms of sztrakturaltra. The epidermal implant is good until Dec.21,2012.

Ah, right, seems a solid option - I shall look into it myself...

If it all works out maybe your 'other half' could gift you a replacement on the first Christmas Day after the world is destroyed.

Haha..and the world will be as one! That will certainly be the finest Christmas ever knowing the world had ended 3 days earlier....a resurrection of humanity.

Looks like the background of a whacky and macabre Hungarian cartoon from my childhood.
Or something like Disney's 'Fantasia' strangeness. Groovy twisty fractal, mate.

Sounds like an interesting childhood
The image I used was from the aquapark in Budapest.
