I've walked this road many times before,
But on this one journey I've seen much more.
It hurts to continue, but I keep going anyway,
In hopes that my heart will ache less the next day.

I've left myself in my head but what for?
I love so much and my soul becomes sore.
I repeat in my mind, "everything will be okay"

Sometimes I run, ignoring what passes by,
How can love cause pain? I don't know why.
I turn off to a path and find a new way,

"there's nothing wrong with you" they all say,

Resting under a tree I feel some protection,
And still I think if only I could master perfection.
