Commission for Kelth of two raptor characters.I've never drawn raptors before, but they were fun. Markers and coloured pencil on cardstock. The colours are much nicer in real life, my scanner mauled the orange (as usual).

I saw this a long time ago and from then until now i regarded this as my favorite in a corner of my mind.
I really find it the most touching and beautiful raptors image I've ever seen. Aaaaand now... time to fav it and tell you how great it is. I mean I am really impressed, not only by the coloring, but of the concept. It's mindhaunting for those with such preferences. Back to the drawing itsself, i'm impressed by the way the muscles and skin color and general aspect came out. And look at those faces. Who said you can't draw emotion on a dromaeosaur's face? I presume the drawing itsself is quite large... Am I right? I don't see as much you know... pencil marks as on other colored pencil drawings.

In response to your question though, it wasn't actually that large a drawing. It was on standard A4 (so around 8x11") cardstock.
