Despite her petite stature, the girl has a grandiouse heart and is very keen on helping others whenever they need her to. She works earnestly on her studies and given tasks. Her excitable nature makes her easy to befriend and approach, if not for her appearance. Although unable to distinguish when someone is taking advantage of her, she is naive when accepting and giving favors, sometimes putting too much trust in others. Because of this, she's rather prone to clumsy accidents and teasing. Despite all of this, she sees everyone who grew up with her as an extension of her family, especially those who are considered closest to her. BIOGRAPHY

For as long as Shiori knew of her family history, they practiced the old tradition of Yuki-Tsumugi, or silk-craft. Because the times have past however, it is an important tradition that they haven't let go of. Her grandparents still run a in-home textile business that have a customer-base that spreads only through word of mouth, making silk-cloth designs to order. She grew up around a world of beautifully hand-woven silk cloths and the archaic technologies to make them. She knew the entire process, from raising silk-worms to spinning silk to starching and coloring and finally the final act of weaving. Although her parents help out sometimes at home, her mother works at a daycare ran by a family friend while her father is busy trying to find a job in the city.
Being born as the second youngest of a large family of 6, 8 including her grandparents that also live at her home, Shiori was often babied and pampered from her family members. Doting parents made it hard for the child to experience anything other than always being the "baby" of the family. "No matter what, you're always my baby." her parents would tell her. Although she wasn't the youngest, she was very much the 'runt' out of all her siblings and peers, her height being the shortest out of everyone. Even the youngest sibling outgrew her in time. In time she developed a slight complex about her age the moment she entered middleschool where she was consistently misidentified as an underclassman throughout the years.

A day at the Akamitsu's was never quiet, and in the suffocation of her parent's adoration, Shiori was able to find peace staying with her grandparents watching them work away at their masterful craft, her young and eager to learn and help hands welcomed. She found her escape and safe haven in her grandparent's world. Whenever she was gloomy from school her grandmother always had something new to teach her to take her mind off things.

As Shiori entered high-school she thought that instead of being identified as a senpai purely because she was one, she would strive to achieve that respect through her own efforts towards helping others instead. Thus bringing her to her final chapter in her high-school career.
