Description My first piece in a long time... Anyways what it is, is 2 lovers that are pulled apart and are trying to be together... yea i know its a cliche, but this piece was more of an expression of how i'm feeling (not being able to be with the one i love) and it just so happens that i feel that we are reaching towards eachother but due to forces that we cant control (hence the clocks and clouds, aka stuff you cant control) we cant be together... well physically together...*sigh*

Anyways, i used my hand and my dad's hand (i needed a guy hand model) as models as well as an antique clock i have as models/reference. The quality is crap... sorry, bad scanner... As for what i think about this one, well i'm not sure if i like it, it didnt quite turn out the way i wanted it to... it seems to look better if you look at it from far away, unfortunately that doesnt work over the net but anyways even though im not incredibly happy with it, i decided to put it up to get some feedback on where i should improve and what-not. Thanks for looking

Great work! This piece reminds of "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" (first one)-movie... that scene where Lara steals time itself and goes to meet his dead father (Angelina Jolie with [his REAL father, that was a new fact for me] John Voight). Hands look VERY realistic... great, accurate work! And the clocks... simply a very powerful illustration

Aww, geez, you're way too hard on yourself here. No peice could ever be perfect, but that's part of the fun (despite how I grumble at my own work, I do believe it's true!) Anyway, this looks really great, despite it's imperfections. I love the idea with the hands and the clocks in the background, like their reaching across time or something.

Anyway, I really love the symbolism behind this one...you evoke real powerful emotions. Very lovely work.

Thank you so much for your kind and inspriational words and you got it right on... they are reaching across time, to when they can be together again. Anyways I just wanted to say thank you for the comments and the fave, being such a personal piece it means even more to me, so thank you so much

PS-perfectionism is a disease i tell you! it makes you too hard on your self! BAH! I hate this disease... i wonder if there's a cure, cuz i'd sure like to have it heheheh

Perfectionism is reached only if you have over 1,000,000 pageviews and your name is *pu-sama . Other than that, we mortals cannot reach perfection in art. But we can still have fun trying.

Remarquably precise and evocative. Being far from the person you love you get more work done, so there's a lot to be said for it. I recommend being far from the person you love. Oh yes, back to the drawing. The bottom hand is lit from above and the top hand is lit from below, but the piece doesn't look at all incoherent. I say it's surreal.
