upon feeling that touch, all that he'd been ordered to do was pretty much dust in the wind. yes, he had been told to bring him back and, yes, he had been told to eliminate the kid should he refuse. but didn't people deserve second chances even IF they weren't meant to BE? sometimes we wondered if he'd been missed...

roxas' extended hand pretty much answered for him. all at once the boy's eyes fogged over and the angered expression on his features fell as if he had fallen into some state of hypnosis.

and he touched him. just touched.

he wondered if roxas would ever remember. only for a second, maybe he did.

yes, it's a line from a lionel richie song, but it was sung by one of this year's american idol contestants in a much better way. and when i say better, i mean it's current, it's catchy and it's so much more emotional. that's what it takes to BE the american idol.

ANYWAY.

ah. i loved making this picture. both are sexy. both are utterly baffled...and it makes me swoon. figured that i'd add a romatic twist to that scene where roxas was pinned in the manga...

a majority of the time i drew it i was listening to "hollywood's not america" by ferras and a bunch of past performances by the contestant mentioned above. psh. those thingies around axel's hand are failed attempts at wisps of darkness as he rid of his chakrams. i figure they will look better edited in photoshop.
