William Oakwood is one of the original participants of the Engine Rider experimental fighting force mentioned before; he is the partner of Axle Ryder, but is a newbie to the police force and, likewise, isn't very experienced. However, he has that idealistic cop mind while Axle has the hardboiled cynical cop mind. Jason Thompson is the creator and director of the experiment, creating all of the suits used in the experiment; while brilliant and a professor of a nearby university, he is very eccentric in nature and is sometimes absent minded. Jason lost his right arm in an accident and has a bionic right arm. Robert Timer is another cop in the police force, but while initially an unsuspecting individual who is nice and respectful, he is captured by the crime forces and turned evil, using a stolen "Version 2.0" of the suits.

William Oakwood is Engine Rider Beta (Kamen Rider 2) and has the same attacks and powers as Axle Ryder/Engine Rider Alpha (Kamen Rider 1), but has red boots and gloves rather than silver ones. Jason Thompson is Riderman, using a Prototype suit without a facemask; due to his situation, he can change out his right arm for various weapons. Robert Timer is Engine Rider X, the strongest of the bunch, having the strongest weapons and attacks.

I initially drew William as an East Asian, but that was a mistake; he is supposed to be Indian.
