Description Inspired by a dream in which I was walking through a jungle and came to a stop before a temple made of gold and brass and sculpted marble. As I entered the temple I was aproached by the creature you see above. I began to feel my physical reality dissolve until I was pure mind . My mind then entered into the creature and I was overcome by a feeling of immense love and compassion for all creation.

color pencil on illustraion board

digi cam so a bit blurry but the full view looks okay

Thanks for the resonance!
You are doing some extraordinary work here. I spent quite a while in your gallery. I'm reminded a bit of Abdul Mati Klarwein. Do you know his work? I'm intrigued by your use of electric colors, and it feels to me like you are moving toward something new, converging on a visionary insight of some form. There are technical delights throughout your gallery, but this picture stands out from all the others in its focus.

This is gorgeous, and I love the story.
There's a very surreal and dreamlike feeling, and yet . . . it's all so vibrant it's tangible. (It helps that your realistic modeling is excellently executed.)
Those gentle eyes, the humanoid faces above . . .
I really wish I could see this in person.
Wow.

The compassionate energy you felt comes through in the painting, which is a hell of an achievement. And thank you for putting a fairly thorough explanation of the work, it is very helpful for the viewer (me) to engage it. awesome

I love this....
it's perfectly symmetrical...but it's not (the leaves + squares etc.)....it flows fantastically.

You did an amazing job shading this....wow....
Next time I take LSD I'm going to stare at something like this.

PSYCHEDLICS

Nah, I don't need use them mate. Yeah I know Shamans get into them and then
there are also shamans that use only trance dance states and meditation .

To each their own.

No you may not need to use psychedelics, but it is a great way to kick start spiritual vision.

I still don't believe this was inspired by a "dream"

what you're talkin' about is written down on Aldous Huxley's "Doors of Perception", a personal view of his experiences with psychedelics, but in my oppinion, it's perfectly possible to have these visions in a dream! As a psychedelic takes your brain to unknown parts, so does a dream, but don't forget that even with psychedelics, it is your own brain that does the job, not the drug, the drug only inhibbits (I think it's written like this, as in innibition) some processes of your brain and allows others to take place. It's all in your head!

So, have nice dream you all! sorry for the

I keep a pad and pen near my bed for such occasions. Dreams are complex things. I dream most nights and have little problem recalling them after awakening, yet my girlfriend rarely dreams at all.

"but it is a great way to kick start spiritual vision"

Totally agree with your there.

Well i think freaming and tripping both stimulate the third eye, which is the spiritual lens
