*Jawdropping* A rarely seen level of detail <3 detail! I think it totally makes the picture.

I have 1 question though.. What did you set the image resolution to? I ask 'cause it's a pretty large canvas.. and it would never have fit on a screen in total (unless you either have a very much rediculous large screen or you zoomed out, which would make details impossible) I try to make works as big as this but I always get stuck on the 350 dpi making it seriously too large to work on reasonably. I need to see the whole when making the sketch :S Maybe you have tips or suggestions? Would be muchly appreciated from a great artist as yourself

Wow... I love the colours and the fine lines in the feathers. The background looks a little strange: at first glance I thought it was floral wallpaper or something. (not that I have wallpaper like that ) Odd, but not in a bad way. It does not distract from the phoenix and the picture as a whole looks great.

Hehe thanks! Its kinda a coincidence, I've been thinking of getting a phoenix tattoo for a while now... I just really gotta make sure that's exactly what I want because... well, its gunna be embedded in my skin for the rest of my life!! If I do go for it, then it'll probably be something like this... only I'd obviously make a few changes here and there just to fit, but it wouldn't look too different from this! Its an awesome piece!!
It'd also be really great on the front cover of a fantasy book....
