A quickie, because episode 6, at least towards the end, was D'awww.

So Ryoushi, guy, is head-over-heels in love with Ryouko and gets typically curious/irritated over Ryouko's freaking out over creepy-White-Shepherd guy. As any logical guy does, he goes to Ryouko's best friend for the story. :/
I was rather pleased that Ringo basically tells him, tho in much nicer terms, to grow a pair and ask Ryouko herself. Ringo then proceeds to tell Ryoushi to be dependable for Ryouko.
Ryoushi spends the rest of the day brooding over this. Just when you think the episode has no other point than being a flashback-to-how-people-met episode, Ryoushi runs to find Ryouko. Cue the following sappiness:
"Wait for me! I'm going to become a man strong enough to accept everything about you! Because I really love you, Ryouko-san!"
Ryouko than proceeds to get flustered and, upon finding they have an audience, hits him. :/

I really like how sweet Ryoushi's being. I mean, Hitsujikai Shirou's relationship to Ryouko is really grinding on everyone's nerves, let alone someone who's in love with Ryouko. The fact that Ryoushi decides knowing what's going on isn't as important as being a better man for Ryouko is so sweet I'm sure it'll give someone cavities.

And I'm really happy this love-comi isn't wrapped in "Do I love him/her? Do I not love him/her? Oh noes, new guy! How will I eva choose?!" That being said, if it weren't for the fairy/folk-tale parodies, i'm not sure i would find this half as amusing.
