Bear followed Mama Nana as she raced through the Den. With the way she was walking it was clear she had a specific place in mind and nothing was going to stop her.
When Bear motioned to the soaked bathroom, Mama Nana waved her off, telling her,
"Oh do not worry child, we will discuss that after I am finished helping you" Bear figured she was not quite off the hook for flooding the bathroom but appreciated that she was getting help before being dealt a punishment.
Bear used this moment to look around, not having gotten a chance to really see everything before their impromptu trip to the bathroom. The den looked.. cozy.. it was warm and the bustling sound of kids and adults sent a wave of calm over her. She still felt unsure of her place here but she was sure she could make this place home in no time.
After about 5 minutes of walking they stopped in front of a closed door. The door read "Eeko Flowers Office, Knock please!"
"Ah here we are!" Mama Nana exclaimed. She turned her gaze to Bear and smiled.
"Mama Eeko is the perfect person to help us help you Bear. I promise you will love her. She is the sweetest, kindest one you'll ever meet."
Bear hesitantly nodded and Mama Nana knocked on the door. After a moment a quiet "come in" came from beyond and Mama Nana opened the door, greeting her wife happily.
"Hello sweetheart." Mama Eeko was sitting in her chair, an assortment of projects laid asunder on her desk. She looked up and smiled softly
"Hello my heart!" Mama Nana approached her and gave her a swift kiss on the cheek. Mama Eeko smiled and blushed.
"Oh stop it you!" Shaking her head to calm her Blush. Eeko noticed the lone kit hanging in the doorway and tilted her head.
"Oh? And who's this dear?" Mama Nana walked over to Bear and picked her up, setting her on Eeko's desk
"This is Bear. One of the newest additions to the Den. She is one of the Druid ancestry kiddos that showed up not too long ago, remember?" Mama Eeko nodded
"I remember." She placed the items she was holding down and smiled at Bear.
"Well it is nice to meet you Bear. I hope you enjoy your stay with us. We will make sure you get the best care possible. Don't you worry" Bear nodded and looked away
Mama Eeko frowned and glanced up at her wife.
"Well I'm going to assume that you didn't just bring Bear here to introduce us but in fact there is an issue going on currently?" Mama Nana sighed
"Yes. Bear here has been having issues adapting to the drier environment here in The Grove. Their gills are drying out, leaving them itchy and irritated." She motioned to Bears reddening gills, which had started to itch again, causing her to scratch them. She pulled Bear's claws away, making Bear squirm uncomfortably.
"I was wondering, if you could make something that Bear could wear that could perhaps hold water? Something that can help keep Bear's gills wet and soaked so they don't have this issue anymore."
Mama Eeko hummed, placing her paw under her chin in thought. All was quiet as the duo let her think.
"I..think I got an idea…but I'll need a few hours to get it done. Think you can hold off and come back then?"
Mama Nana looked at Bear who nodded. Mama Eeko smiled and clapped her paws.
"Great! Come back in a few hours and I'll have your solution all Sorted!"
