Yayyy Rundas. Everybody's favorite cryokinetic bounty hunter. Hot voice included.So this one took way longer then the Ghor one did. (Cuz of all the twisty organic muscle-esque stuffs on his arms and torso that I had to simplify.) I mean, I swear his design keeps changing throughout the game. I was using some videos on youtube for reference, and he has those two tendril-y things sticking off of his back and they, like, change position. Stupid Phyrigisian anatomyyyyyy.
Anywho. For all you nerds that haven't played any of the metroid games, the purple guy in the corner's name is Noxus, he's a bounty hunter from Metroid Prime: Hunters. (Rundas is from MP Corruption) He's also ice-manipulating (he can't do anything cool like ice-surf though, just freeze stuffs) and it's theorized that his species and Rundas's species are related or something. And I keep seeing fanart and faniction-stuff about them being brothers or best friends or whatever. Well guess what?
THEY DON'T KNOW EACH OTHER.
Noxus is technically evil anyway. Rundas is so above that.

BTW, Noxus isn't really evil, but hostile yes. If you read the instruction booklet about him (or the wiki), it says that his duty is to keep the "ultimate power" from falling into the wrong hands. Just wanna let you know that.

I hate how they just killed off all the Hunters in Prime 3, especially Rundas. They were such cool characters.

Nice. Rundas does have the bad ass voice,
and cool appearances aside, I think that
was one of the coolest things about him,
though ice surfing was pretty awesome.
People say a lot of things about Rundas.
Some people actually say that him and
Samus make a great "couple." WTH?!
And the Noxus thing? Nope. Noxus would be
pwned by Rundas in no time @ all. Poor little monk.
He just can't generate ice like Rundas can.

Though his design is awesome (despite facelessness...is that a helmet? I could never tell.) he's really quite hard to draw. I should draw him more, I feel like I uploaded this forever ago.
And Samdus...? :/ I guess that one scene where he saves her from that generator could be considered flirting...but I think it's just Rundas being like "yeah, I'm awesome. 8D"
I wish they woulda done more with him. He was such a cool character, if you'll excuse the pun.

Practice makes perfect, though your Rundas pics are already pretty insane.
As for him not having a face...as far as I can tell he does, it's just not really visible. It's like behind his head-thing, and it's really faint. Hard to see the features.
Flirting? People are insane. There's a slight diff between him and Samus.
Rundas is headstrong and was just having a "I'm a bad ass" moment. Or @
least that's the way I see it. Samus liked Adam and I think that should be the
way it remains.

Samus X Adam! Yesss. Rundas and Samus could be awesome-bounty-hunter-partner-buddies and like go out for drinks or something, (assuming Rundas has a mouth somewhere...that sweet voice's gotta come out of somewhere, I suppose.) but Samus and Adam can be together.

Ahaha, currently, I don't, but after I looked back at my Ghor doodles I realized that I draw him wayyy better now, and I want to practice drawing Rundas more (I think I avoid drawing him cuz of his lack of face) so I'll probably post more soonish, cuz right now I'm working on a Ghor-reference sheet for myself.
And I should get around to drawing Gandrayda too. It's only fair.

I draw Ghor ALOT. I dunno-it's just Gandrayda's see-throughy-ness and Rundas' facelessness...it makes Ghor alot more appealing ('sides, I like to go with the in-game-profile version of him, so he's just a cute little muffin with a giant mech that makes him crabby.)

Noxus is far, far from being evil. His official profile actually claims he believes in justice and fights for it. He just doesn't ally with Samus because he percieves her as a threat to his own plans of securing the ultimate power. But just because he doesn't ally with the hero doesn't make him villian.

Ah yes, I think I've seen Noxus' profile on Wikitroid or something (though I was never able to find it in-game...DX) I kinda hope they do more with the other bounty hunters...I mean, a prequel with just Rundas in it would be awesome.(Not to mention with the super-secret 100% ending of Metroid Prime: Corruption, more Sylux may be on the way 8D)

And what an unceremonious way to die! Didn't you find it weird nobody else mentioned the three hunters' deaths? I guess if you're a hunter and your name isn't Samus Aran, they just don't give a damn.

When Admiral Dane came down to talk to you when you were on the Pirate Homeworld, He was just like "Destroy the leviathan....complete your mission..." And I was like: What? No "my condolences for the fact you had to KILL your colleagues"?? Honestly, if Samus wasn't Samus, she would've been horribly traumatized from that. Especially after Rundas saved her TWICE! (three if you count the time he appeared on Bryyo and froze all those Space Pirate's butts) There was totally a friendship developing there.
And God...the way he died....*shudder* of all the stuff that happened in that game Rundas's being impaled with his own ice...gahh. When I first played the game through, I thought defeating him meant purging him of Phazon, so when he died, I quite literally stood up and shouted "WHAT?!" then I felt kinda crappy afterwards. Stupid Nintendo getting you attached to characters....

Yeah. She did show sorrow for their losses at the end of the game, though...and her reaction to their deaths seemed to get stronger each time. By the time Gandrayda died, it was obvious she was NOT happy. Damn Dark Samus! Also, they're stupid...they don't seem to notice you're turning blue!

Yah, Samus seemed to be the only one upset by the other Hunter's deaths. I mean, what the heck? Rundas probably has a FANCLUB back home. And I could see Ghor having a family...God knows what's up with Gandrayda. Somebody else has to be upset that they died.
And after you get the PED, if you use the scan visor, you can see Samus's reflection, and she has like, corruption scars all over her face. You think they would've noticed that??
Oh, and I had trouble understanding this during the game...there were Federation Troopers that were using PEDs and they were fine. But when the hunters used them the Phazon overpowered them? What's up with that?

I think it's because the PED troopers used Phazon from a backpack while Samus and the other three were using it from their own bodies. And, like I said, her armor got bluer throughout the game...yet nobody seemed to notice! I felt so bad for Samus after you killed Mogenar (annoying bastard)...poor thing.

And with Samus's armour...you'd think that Rundas went all corrupted on us the Federation would've been like "Hm. Maybe this PED thing isn't such a great idea. Maybe we should start finding a way to extract the Phazon so Samus doesn't go insane."
Stupid Federation. They should know better then to play with a highly radioactive and mutagenic thing like Phazon. >_> Especially when using it around their most prized bounty hunters...*annoyed sigh*
I'd love a prequel with the other hunters. It seemed like there was alot of potential as far as character-stuff goes for all three of them...because they seemed kinda developed for throw-away characters.

Well, something's screwed up with the Federation. You actually hear an indication in Prime 3 in the beginning if you're paying attention. Plus, if you've played Fusion, you know what I'm talking about. I can't imagine what it must've felt like for Samus...with a conflicting desire to be more corrupted for power (I don't think even she would be immune to that desire) and the desire of her good side to destroy it. It must've been almost maddening.

you know, the federation and the unsc from halo universe have a lot in common.
1) unsc kidnaps kids of about 6/7 years old and twists them into killing machines through wild experiments for their own well being, half of them winding up dead or retarded, turning them into what we see as spartans, happy to kill and extremely strong. but, really, what kind of emotional stress are those people going through, not even really knowing their own families, as well as seeing friends 'washed out' as kids?
2)federation, same thing probably. and, when the part with the first ped trooper comes on in corruption, the other two guys are wiped out, and the ped guy goes over to samus and sort of happily tells her to keep moving. i mean, there had to be atleast a small bond between them. this is where we first see that the federation is fucked up in that game. and in echoes, samus goes over to the first gfc trooper near the machine and sort of pays her respects, all the while remembering to keep her guard up. also in that game, she wouldn't have helped out the luminoth if she were a mean, heartless bitch. she could have instead left them to die by the ing's hands.
long story short; unsc and the federation are both fucking bunches of assholes, which is why samus is only a bounty hunter who is mainly a hired gun rather than a total asset to the federation. same with master chief, halo. he could have flipped them the bird in the middle of a campaign level, most likely on earth still, and said "sayonara, bitches, im heading to canada! eh?" lol, canada...mmm, canadian bacon, gaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

Truly. Fusion was actually the first Metroid game I played...and jeez, the Federation was like evil in that. Luckily Adam was there to back Samus up...

And yah. I'd think that just seeing the other hunters get corrupted and ultimately dying probably helped her a bit...seeing the fate that would await her if she DID become corrupted, and wanting revenge for having to kill the other hunters. I mean, she finally begins to actually have in-game relationships with other characters....and of course they die. With the acception of Admiral Dane and the AUs, but they were like the Prime: Corruption equivalent of Fusion's Adam...just there to tell you what to do.

You have to be paying attention to pick it up.Anyway, one reason I'm excited about Other M: we get to find out more about the living Adam. I wonder if the fact part of her was actually WANTING the corruption (you know that's gotta be the case) was a bit scary to her. It probably was knowing she fights for justice and stuff.
