Totally Mark II.. or whatever iteration it may be..
I am a huge sucker for battlesuits, and mecha, and power armour and all the like. I do think the facination started with actual armour from like knights and stuff. I can't recall ever seeing you draw much in the means of battlesuit/power armours though. I know you've done lots with Mech though (and do that quite well).
The thing that struct me with this was the colour scheme, and even from the little thumbnail, the reds lured me in. Red has been from what I've recalled a power colour, and that's why I think the Romans used it. It's the colour of blood, fire, and many other things that are destructive, powerful, or symbolic of life/death.
The suit, or maybe just the helmet reminds me a little of the predator armour. I think it's just the eyes that draw that same sort of dark fear and terror you see of at least in the technological sense a "predator". I like the gauntlet/arm pieces with sort of scale almost looking gold pieces adorning it.
Lastly I'm in love with the boots. Seems like a odd thing to take notice of, but the intricate layered design of the boots really has that 'mech' feel to it. Real Mechanical, powerful, and sleak.
Definately would be a terrifying person to meet on any battlefield.

thank you!
and yeah, I didn't realise the Predator resemblance until you said it. Totally true.
I have had some power armour here and there. There was a fair bit of it in SG and RG...but those were much larger ^^

I beg to differ, lol. I believe her armor is a creole between that and Samus Aran's, maybe a bit of stormtrooper in between. Plus she'd never move in an iron suit!

Oh yeah, I always forget about Samus XD Without the visor helm it looks alot less Samuslike ^^

If only I could favorite comments XD
But her armor is more polymer-based and lightweight. Since her nation is big on polymers, I can make them a bit futuristic and make them lightweight but strong, lol

I think the stomach in this suit not protected from bullets. This critical area should be covered with hard scaly armor, at least. And so - this is a good anti-gas / biological protection suit, but not even anti-radiation, where necessary "X-ray" plumbum apron yet.
Although ... If she is a pilot of battle vehicle - it gives hope that the vehicle is better protection.

ToddMcCloud In reply to LynxoyidUA [2011-05-28 13:42:48 +0000 UTC]
Well it can't be perfect, but, buuuut, the flexible 'dark red' parts of the suit (which the stomach is protected by) has a Kevlar derivative which is pretty tough and resilient, though not as strong as the 'armored' parts. Meaning, it could take a few bullets, but it won't from a direct hit from a shell, for instance, lol.

Well it's actually supposed to be the main colors of the suit, lol. Vekaiyu colors are red, gold, black, and white. Not a whole lot of white here, but I can imagine they might have been able to color their suits, perhaps!

Is the lack of a tail the problem in her world? Can be make the biomechanics tail on her battle spacesuit?

She cut it off actually, for two reasons:
1. She could swim better without it
2. It would just be a nuisance to fight with
In her nation it's normal to cut one's tail off. It took a while for it to be accepted though!

Strange Civilization. They were created by people, or are totally autonomous?
In life I watched the dog that could very well manage of it's tail, twist it around objects as spiral/screw (even the cats are not so often do !). In the idea, the ββflexible and not very long tail is useful in life.

ToddMcCloud In reply to LynxoyidUA [2011-05-28 13:27:29 +0000 UTC]
autonomous, they evolved. But they evolved and interacted with people. Vulpines are thinner, smaller, and not as strong as their human counterparts, but they are more agile and have sharper wits. For an agile creature, however, a large bushy tail can present problems, especially in battle when it's practically like wearing a big flag on your rear. So, many elect to remove it. For swimming, it acts as one giant drag chute, so swimmers and other athletes are more likely to remove it too.

OK, I known about some kind of felinoids, which also modified for battle and extremal environments, and for compatibility with human-like technique. They also lost of their tails. But this is direct genetically modifications. This modifications also provides for they to be more strong, fast, reliable. For example, they have two hearts, possible alternative protein metabolism, the nervous system in a critical situation can to accelerate to several times (in normal mode it's also faster then same humans system), the advanced regeneration, radiation resistance... And so on.

ToddMcCloud In reply to LynxoyidUA [2011-05-28 14:09:13 +0000 UTC]
The vulpine race could use said modifications, lol. They also don't last past 60 years of age for the most part.
I dunno. I got tired of people who simply designed a species to be 'like the human race, but better'. I think it's their damaging qualities that are more fun to write about than the ones that make them superior, lol. But hey, doesn't rule out the possibility that one day they'll get more qualities. Heck, in that thread I sent you they tried to make them evolve into inter-dimensional beings!

I understand that the creation of replacements for Homo Sapience which are fully able to replace them - potentially dangerous.
But, I think, if for some reason people (Creators), there ware very few in this continuum, and they could not withstand a certain Enemy civilization (xenomorphs ~"Zerg"), but "to annoy of Enemy" and advance their achievements in centuries, as a intelligent biological artifacts, which in the long term will to win and scavenge the Planet and planetary system(s) from the Enemies...
This also justifies that these creatures are subsequently able to find common goals and way of non-conflictual coexistence with humans, similar of Creators.

But for the life support technical equipment the tails are real disadvantage! *But I think that this can be solved ...*

Awesome, this looks much better than the first one! Thank you for the re-design!
And while the pose may be simple, much can be told in a simple pose. It almost reminds me of something a comic book cover would have or maybe a promo poster for a TV series or something. Thanks!
