Seriously, I'd love to see a short story from you, using this theme!
I assume they're outcasts from both of the societies they came from.. and while they're both foreign to eachother's culture (with the contrasting colors really driving that point, too!), they take solace in one-another's company.
I love the idea of one culture teaching another different ways of achieving things.. and vice versa! (hers being sewing/mending.. his being some form of magicks... though in this case, I feel like SHE's the apprentice in this friendship)
You're very good with telling stories without words, even if my interpretation is completely off, hehe.
I don't know if you've thought about it... but you should REALLY consider illustration books... Not exactly comics, not exactly children's books... but just stories that can be understood without much dialog!
I guarantee you'd sell at least one copy, from me xD

Heh, you're right on a couple of points, but I won't spoil it in case I do indeed do a short story with them.

I JUUUUST noticed that his horns and hair are shorter in the first panel, and clothes seem slightly less frayed. Seems distraught, so I think he's looking in a mirror, discovering something for the first time? something gone wrong? c:
