Description Briefing was to draw a corrupted king, sitting on a throne. Allow to use any existing character, modify. Advance Light and Mood studies.

So here's is my own version of Lich King, Arthas Menethil from Warcraft III. Edited some small parts like the armor and venue. Learned a lot from this work and tried out some new techniques and lightings.

Hardest part was to do the frozen throne. It was very rough when the first time i show my lecturer. Took some time to refine it together with some reference.

Thanks for viewing.
Advice and comments are welcome.

pretty kewl kk. now a lot of people, well thru my observation tend to over abuse the foreground element. we all now that by having separate planes of ground (talking about bg, mg and fg here) give compositional breakdown not only in 2d space but in 3d as well.

in your case, i can see that you're trying to frame your main subject so that you can have the focus there, and it's good that you have given a thought of emphasizing the focus, that's one essential objective in my opinion. however, i personally think that these elements that we add should offer some believability, question like why and how the thing is there should be visually self-explanatory.

for example here, i would probably choose the crystal as fg elements mainly because we already know that the crystal is already there in the bg and mg, and it's visually logical to have some in the fg spaces. you can keep the chains and have different solution, but generally what i'm trying to tell is elements that we add for purposes should have another purposes to back them up, well... yea.

haha too much talking i guess. forgive me..

heey thanks for dropping by. Oh no no no. I really appreciate that u took ur time to analyze my mistakes to me. aaah i see what u mean. Some how when i look at it i do feel a little uncomfortable and i do not know what is. Now that u mentioned it i know now. The chain doesnt really link well for the fg. Hmm.. Could have tried like..crystal for the fg.. and er..chains are tied to the poles at the background...perhaps..? Just an idea. But hey thanks again yeah. Im happy to hear your point of view. ;D Do keep doing that.
