Here's my attempt at drawing Metapod. Well this drawing certainly took longer than I thought it would, haha. Metapod isn't as easy to draw realistically as you might think. After going through a few iterations, I finally settled on this line art, and then proceeded with the usual colouring and shading. I decided for a change I would instead have the Metapod hanging from a string like they sometimes are shown in the anime or various games. For reference, I just found several different pictures of Metapod and used those, there wasn't really any one or two images that I took inspiration from.
