So, I decided to scrap the original plan I had where Vitani pulled Kopa by the scruff of the neck to safety…

Kopa had ventured out on his first solo patrol. After being followed by Kiara & Afua on Simba’s orders, he was annoyed and ran further away. Meanwhile, Kovu & Nuka had been stalking him. As he approached the border he saw smoke as well as animals fleeing in panic. The fire eventually spread quickly without warning (probably due to the fact that it was the dry season and the ground was bone dry) and he found himself surrounded by the flames, which became too much for him and he passed out.

Vitani then ‘found’ Kopa who was semi-conscious at this point. She urged him to get up and move, to which he questioned who she was. Vitani explained that there was no time for that right now and insisted they moved, then she led him to the safety of the Pride Lands.

Kopa then recognised Vitani and the pair were reunited.
