Description Name: Amildon Scotto

Epithet: Mystery Man

Devil Fruit: Beast Beast Fruit, Model: Rakshasa

Devil Fruit Type: Mythical Zoan

General Info:

“Mystery Man” Scotto is the grandson of Amildon Phillies, who he calls “Bampi”, a former God's Knight and Noble who was highly respected by the powerful members of the World Government. They both hail from the New World.

You’d think that with what’s been revealed above, Scotto and Bampi are evil, heartless and firm believers in absolute justice right? Wrong! Scotto and his older sister Cruellatrix were raised by loving parents, and Bampi and his wife were kind grandparents! They were taught to respect all kinds of people whether they’re humans, Fish People, Minks, etc.

Personality:

Amildon Scotto is a happy young man with a lot of ambition. He’s a dreamer who loves to draw. He has an innocent, childlike view of the world and a tendency to get excited when out of the ordinary events happen around him! Scotto has a soft spot for animals, and gets excited when he sees ones that are not from his homeland of the New World. He loves seeing the Mink Tribe and his favourites are Dogs, Cats, Foxes, and Rabbits. He has a habit of requesting a loving hug from them, which most are happy to oblige.

Scotto is very proud to be a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit user, because they're the rarest type and most powerful creatures thanks to their additional supernatural powers!

When it comes to justice, he has a black and white view of the term, viewing the Marines as good, and pirates as evil. However, Scotto judges people on their character before labelling them either good or evil. An example is that when he first meets Luffy and his crew, after helping him out of a tight situation, he doesn’t immediately brand them villains and treats them as such: he remains polite and kind while observing their personalities, the Straw Hats in turn are kind to him so he deems them friendly. When he finds out that they have been known to free kingdoms from their oppressors. He labels them heroes and believes that the World Government is wrong to brand them criminals!

In contrast, when he met members of CP0, He immediately became wary and distrustful, this is due to having heard stories about their ruthlessness, especially how Rob Lucci killed 500 soldiers simply because they were captured by pirates, despite being labeled peace keepers (AKA: Good Guys) by the World Government. When he learns that they’d sacrifice any innocent life for the sake of justice, he denounces them as psychos who use justice as an excuse kill for the love of it!

Due to his sheltered upbringing, Scotto is naive and quick to firmly trust anyone who speaks nicely to him, even if they’re secretly evil! He also values his self preservation, and has a fear of getting hurt, let alone killed! Nevertheless he will do what he can to help any of his friends, even if it means arranging help through others! Although thanks to his Devil Fruit powers, he doesn’t mind getting hurt as much and he’ll join a fight!

History:

In his introduction arc, Amildon Scotto and Amildon Cruellatrix was raised in a humble home outside of the great kingdom: Gaarda Nui, just like any other person. Their grandparents believed that raising their children and grandchildren this way from birth would ensure that they won’t adopt the cruel and selfish ways of the other Nobles & World Nobles from Goa Kingdom and Mary Geoise respectively. They all know about Bampi being a former God's Knight and Noble, but keep it a secret because they know that if others knew, they’d be persecuted as heartless fiends (just like what happened to Saint Homing’s family).

Scotto was curious about Gaarda Nui as was his sister, and Bampi told them how it used to be his home. Bampi told them how his parents adopted an infant from that kingdom, they named him Forté. Growing up together, Bampi had jealousy and anger towards his adopted younger brother because the citizens viewed him a hero because while both were generous and willing to help others in need, Forté would always take things a step further and was significantly more popular.

Bampi cut ties with his brother and left Gaarda Nui to serve the Celestial Dragons as one of the God's Knights, but after meeting his love and starting a family made him realize how foolish he was to resent his adopted brother. Also, Bampi resented the attitudes of the Celestial Dragons and left Marie Geoise with his family. Over the years Scotto would hear this story and hear many other stories from all over the world. Eventually, at the age of 10, Scotto and Bampi would hear that Gaarda Nui has been targeted by a monster called “Asmodeus”. They both agreed that the city needed to be free of this menace. While they were trying to find a way to defeat Asmodeus, Phillies is attacked and injured by Devil Fruit users under Asmodeus’ employ! Scotto escapes but is lost!

Just when Scotto was about to lose hope of seeing Bampi or his family again, a kindly stranger found and rescued him from Asmodeus’ minions! Taking Scotto to his house, the stranger reveals himself to be Avery D. Sparrow, a traveller who had heard of Asmodeus’ plot to seize control of Gaarda Nui. He shows Scotto a small chest that contained only one thing: A Mythical Zoan type Devil Fruit! Sparrow tells him that it’s the Beast Beast Fruit, Model: Rakshasa and that it has the power to not only generate tremors, but also bring good luck and great fortune to the user and his/her allies.

Sparrow also states that the Beast Beast Fruit, Model: Rakshasa has been highly sought after by many powerful figures, ranging from pirates (including Rocks D. Xebec) to even the World Nobles (enough is NEVER enough for a World Noble)! This is the reason why Asmodeus’ minions were around when they attacked Bampi: They’re looking for Devil Fruits to harness their powers to create an army of super powerful Seraphim loyal to their leader! Sparrow reveals that he’s part of a group that have been keeping Mythical Zoan and other powerful Devil Fruits they could find safe from villains like Asmodeus. But now Sparrow sees that the kingdom of Gaarda Nui is in need of exactly this kind of Devil Fruit power. He asks Scotto to take a bite of the fruit before Asmodeus or his minions find them and seizes it for his own nefarious purposes. At that very moment the front part of Sparrow’s house is blown to bits and standing before him and Scotto - Is Asmodeus himself!

Asmodeus makes it clear to Scotto that as long as he gives up the the Devil Fruit, he won’t kill his new friend. So when Scotto hands it over, Asmodeus states that HE wouldn’t kill Sparrow, but his minions will! Just as he was revelling in victory he notices that there’s a chunk of the Beast Beast Fruit, Model: Rakshasa missing! Scotto had eaten a piece! Sparrow tells him to run while he holds them off with his power of Haki and own Devil Fruit powers! Scotto does so but Asmodeus calls out to him, telling him he was wrong to eat that Devil Fruit as no one else can enjoy its powers and he says that when something cannot be shared, people will fight for it, for someone must live with it and others without and as such, more tragedies are likely to happen and therefore Asmodeus states that he’ll SAVE Gaarda Nui by taking it all for himself!

10 years later Scotto has been learning how to master his new Rakshasa transformation. He and Bampi are safe for now, but Gaarda Nui is now in the control of the demonic Asmodeus aided by his evil enforcers and artificial Seraphim! Scotto wants to save Gaarda Nui but is to afraid to do so alone. So he makes up for his insecurities by helping people from the shadows, those who he helps have nicknamed him the “Mystery Man” because he hides his motives and past to all he meets. Scotto never saw Sparrow again after that fateful day, but he’ll honour Sparrow’s and Bampi’s wishes to save the kingdom! And with the help of Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates, Scotto intends to fulfill his commitment!

Skills/Devil Fruit Power:

Scotto had eaten the Mythical Zoan type Beast Beast Fruit, Model: Rakshasa. Which means he can transform into a giant Rakshasa at will. Since in real life there are myths that say the Rakshasa possess special powers, Scotto has great strength, stamina and endurance. It also gives him the ability to generate massive vibrations, or shockwaves, which can travel through virtually any medium, including the ground, seafloor, and even air!

- Deathquake: Scotto slams the air with his fist, cracking it and creating shock waves.

Another special ability of the Mythical Zoan fruit is that Scotto is able to bring good luck and great fortune to himself and his friends! So Scotto is literally a walking good luck charm, and one of the main reasons the Beast Beast fruit, Model: Rakshasa was sought out by the many nefarious people like the Five Elders, World Nobles, World Government, Pirates, etc.

Another ability Scotto has is that he is completely immune to diseases and the powers of all the other Devil Fruit users: He can’t have his shadow stolen, be turned into a toy, have his memory tampered with, be mind controlled etc. This makes Scotto a go-to candidate for a fight with Devil Fruit users - If only he overcame his fear of fighting that is. However, This ability is a double edged sword, as Trafalgar D. Water Law can’t use his Op Op Fruit powers to heal Scotto of any injury.
