An OC that I made as a character in my fan made region. He is a Pokemon Professor in the Mediterran Region (a region based on the Mediterranean). His name, Vania, is in reference to the Romanian suffix for "forest". He is based, in looks and personality, on the "mad scientist" archetype popularized in Victorian horror and science fiction literature.

Lore:

Professor Vania is an eccentric and mysterious Pokemon expert who acts as the main Professor of the Mediterran Region and is the one who sets the main character out on their Pokemon journey as well as the one the main character reports to. He never takes off his signature sunglasses, even indoors, and his right hand is never seen, always covered by his sleeve. It is unclear weather the white bolt in his hair is natural, the result of a failed experiment, or the result of a successful dye job. He likes to conduct miscellaneous science experiments in his free time. He never does much small talk and is always in a hurry to move progress along.
