After 4 months... the finished painting! Thank you all for your support! The charity auction at my work went over very well and I raised $155 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention with the offer of a commissioned acrylic painting. $255 for that charity overall, including a Cessna 172 flight I offered in a separate listing that went for $100.

Thank you. I remember the first time I saw them. My sister was pointing them out to me because she doesn't like them, but I was just fascinated because I had never seen them before.

The down side is that in a group they are smelly! We ha a colony living on the dock at the refinery I worked at.

Oh the rock they usually hang out is pretty much whitewashed by their poop. But any smell they create is overshadowed by the incredible smell of the seaweed that washes up on the beach. I've noticed a lot more washing up lately. My boyfriend won't even go down to the beach anymore because it smells so bad.

Thank you! I was only able to work on it for an hour or two in the evenings, and I had to take several weeks off to prepare to move. So total I probably spent 40-50 hours on it, but that time had to be spread out over a few months.

I'm used to it by now, I can't expect myself to do anything unless I'm okay with the fact it's probably not even going to be done until a month, and that's the bare minimum. Most of the time I have to force myself to do it especially when I don't feel productive.
