San aka The Princess Mononoke rides into battle against her human enemies with a stampede of giant boar warriors.I originally did this piece for the Nucleus gallery's Studio Ghibli show but sadly the show was cancelled before I could submit my entry. I decided to finish it anyway and here is the result. I chose this particular movie because although Totoro was my first ghibli movie (and VERY dear to me), Mononoke has a left a serious impression. It was an animated movie for adults, and it was EPIC.
The name of the piece is actually taken from the english version of the movies opening narration. Its one of my favorite lines.

I didn't realize that the show was cancelled, I did think that it was traditional medium only. Anyways, this is lovely and amazing. I love the world in Mononoke.
