Hahahah oh how hilarious and charming! Although I had read this portion, I never understood that the Creature had actually did that! Their expressions are very cute and this altogether is so nice, thankyou!

Yeah, he actually did this, but obviously it's a bit exaggerated as the creature actually spoke more, and it was more out of spite rather than him being naive.

Regardless, it was a funny scene hehe

I'm pretty sure the Creature knew what Frankenstein meant- he was just winding him up! I think Mary Shelley put it in there to create a tinsy winsy bit of comic relief for such a tragic story.
