The scars of my past aren't quite healedEvery time I look back they are revealed
As the blue of the sky turns black in the dark of the night the memories flood back
They fill every part of my brain, the stinging images remain
The world drowned out at the memories flood about
The wave of recollection surging through my mind
Reminiscent tears I cry, I'm sinking in the thoughts this flood is bringing
Nothing can wash the damage that's left behind the scars are still there
Though the open wounds are closed tight
From the flood I cannot hide, hits me wherever I lie
But everything soon dries and every flood soon dies
Only the vestige left to remind
