InsomniaLaying in my bed
I am wide awake
my eyes dry and open
You'd think you'll drift to sleep within minutes
but for me it's not true
Insomnia setting in
I won't be falling asleep soon
My head is pounding with worries and fears
my heart beats echoing in the darkness,
as it quicken the insomnia thickens
Hours going by with each breath I take in
Only the green light of my clock shines
with the time given,this insomnia is driven
The temperature rises,
hindering my ability to think,
casting away the sheets,but I still feel the heat,
this insomnia I can't beat
When will the sun rise
stealing the black from the skies
rescuing me from this sleepless night
The stress is making me restless,
it's taking it's toll I want to go AWOL
For this thick,driven,beating insomnia I can't take anymore
