Description
One of the last minute additions to my Artist Spotlight line-up at Alternate Reality Comics to place alongside my Marvel Girl piece.I've been wanting to show one of my takes of a Phoenix costume for a long time now, this was a perfect excuse to finally flesh one out.

I'm a fan of both but I can't say I count either as a full artistic influence.
Romita Sr. could be a great influence when it comes to characters like Spider-man, May Jane and Daredevil while Romita Jr. is a artist I grew up with but it's interesting to read that you see something of their style in mine.

particularly in the facial structure, the way you designed her is very down to earth and believable, instead of overly exaggerated fake barbie face (which is more of my thing lol)
it is by no means a negative thing, i really like the final result! good job!

Looks sweet! I'm not sure what her expression is though. It's pretty intense but has a hint of confusion. I get mixed queues when looking at her eyes. But it's all focused really well. I can tell it's like a power focus. Kind of like those psychics who have that otherworldy stare and you can tell what they see is something you can't haha. I like it!

That's actually what I was going for with the eyes, with a character like this I'd like to leave it up to the viewer to decide what's going on with her emotions.
