So what do all these kids have in common? They're all children from indie games who went through horrible, terrible crap! Hence the title "The Tragic Lives of Indie Game Kids". This was actually inspired by this picture here by Lazer-Bunny ! When I first found this picture, I said to myself, "Hey, I should do something like that," but then I realized that I hadn't seen enough characters who fit the criteria and if I redrew it would literally be the same characters from the original picture minus the one on the far left. So I waited until I'd seen a couple more indie games with sad kids, and then I drew this!

EDIT: Gosh dangit, immediately after drawing this I watched two more indie games with tragic things that happened to children! Ib and Sally Face would have been here if I'd waited a few weeks to draw this.

Came up with a silly little skit in my head while drawing this [contains some major spoilers for the games listed above tho]:

: So, apparently all of us had horrible lives and that's why we're here? Can anyone beat the fact that I was separated from my civilization, was adopted by a family and then tried to save them from death, and then that plan screwed up and I ended up traumatizing my brother so badly he turned into a sadist, I caused my dad to murder children which then caused my parents to divorce, and now my mom lives as a recluse and now my dad's a killer of six innocents?

Fran Bow: Well, my parents were murdered in front of me actually by the king of all the demons, and I escaped an insane asylum based on my hallucinations of my dead cat. And I was high on drugs the whole time as well. And I'm only nine.

: My brother bullied me so badly he put me into a coma, and then while I was in that coma I had hallucinations of terrifying monsters trying to kill me and all I had was a flashlight to protect me.
: I was made into literal ice cream!!!
: Hey, what's your story, Desolate Hope kid? You look you'd cry if you hurt a fly.

Sample 217: Oh, nothing much happened to me. Except for the fact that I was shipped away from Earth to a station on another planet before I was even born because nobody wanted me (which is pretty ironic because I'm now the last human alive), and then a crazy AI tortured me there to try and extract my soul and organs
: Oh...
