bah....the downward spiral is SO much better than the fragile...in terms of being produced i like the fragile better, but the downward spiral takes the cake for best overall songs and influence

Agreed that Trent has written better lyrics, but I love these ones all the same. Especially "The farther I fall I'm beside you. As lost as I get I will find you. The deeper the wound I'm inside you. For ever and ever I am a part of you." That's classic, IMO. Regardless though, that song/the lyrics are what inspired the piece.

Oh, yes, I definitely agree... NIN and Bowie are the most inspirational and influential musicians since the days of Beethoven and Mozart, IMHO. And Elfman, too, as he's an orchestral god. Nobuo Uematsu is up there, too.

Almost forgot to attribute the lyrics/music that inspired this piece, "We're in this Together Now" by Nine Inch Nails. I think NIN is really the most inspirational music there is, for myself atleast... Anyway, thanks for all the comments
