"Oh, um. Yeah," The white folk sniffed, wiping at her newly tear tracked face. "My Sol says it's probably just because 'm sick. But I'm doing okay, um. What's up, Nene?"
"Well I uh, I'd heard about... Aurelio," Nene hesitated, shifting her weight between her paws and causing the bells now tied at her waist to ring softly. "A-and I know you've always wanted a Mobbit so..."
Alina gave her friend a questioning look as her calico friend motioned a mobbit out from behind herself. Alina's dark eyes lit up as the little pet fluttered over to her, and she held out a paw for the mobbit to sniff.
"I uh. I thought this one would be a comfort for you!" Nene smiled, sitting on the bench beside her friend. "Cuz he has colors that match you and me!"
Alina turned her teary smile to Nene, beaming for the first time in what had to have been months
"I love him- I think I'll name him... Thread"
