Description Just a little more of a finished version, I REALLY love the lanterns. and am pretty proud of the tree, I finally feel like I'm progressing. Might not be much of an improvement, but if I can see it , it counts .

~My drawing of the day There's plenty more but this one I thought was decent enough to be posted, I'm definitely in love with how the tree turned out. ~
On a side note of rant: I HATE MY SCANNER !! Pencil just degrades in it.
PS Ps : A huge influence for my art has been The Birthday Massacre, one of my absolute favorite bands! Check them out!!

Yay for starting my own art portfolio, considering since I haven't had a drawing binder in FOREVER, It's awesome to gather all of what art I -have- been able salvage, to see how much I've improved and have it dating through to see my work progress.

This is a LOVELY piece. The composition is great. If I had to choose one thing to be able to draw better, it would be trees. I fail at trees!!!! Yours are beautiful. My only suggestion for this piece is to maybe have made the bottom portion slightly darker. The lanterns would then appear even brighter, but overall this piece is already amazing.

Thank you! You know what? I agree completely, They would have popped A LOT more with that effect. I'll definitely keep that in mind! Tree's are a hard thing to get use to haha.
