"The memories we shared together, will always be in my heart."I started up my Pokemon Crystal this morning only to find that my game save had been corrupted. It was a 12 year save that I had ever since I first got my GBC. I occassionally would get on it and visit with my pal "Matchi" which is what I named my first Pokemon. He was also the only Pokemon I ever used in Crystal. I don't know something about losing that save file made me feel very devastated. Like I lost a childhood friend. I am getting the battery in the game replaced tomorrow, but it'll never bring back the years I had with my Feraligatr. So I made this picture dedicated to him. This is to anyone whose had to suffer from a game corruption.
Losing a childhood memory can be hard if you get attached to the game you're playing.

Ouch, this hit me right where it hurts. I, too, chose Totodile, and he was my very first Pokémon ever. A few years ago, I turned on my Silver only to find my battery died as well. That was the day I lost my first and best friend in the Pokémon world. Godspeed, old friend.

Same thing happend to my files on gold and silver games, i have long lost the first cyndaquil i played with but i was able to keep the rest of them on the other games by passing them onto pokemon stadium. The second gen games have been my favourite since i was a kid and this piece feels very nice to look at because it reminds me how much these games mean to a lot of people

That's beautiful. I had a dream once where I was reunited with and hugging my very first Blastoise. It was all colored blue, since that was my first game. "I've missed you, Old Friend..."

I also lost my game save in Pokémon Gold and Crystal, and I lost my first two Pokémons (Meganium in Gold and Feraligatr in Crystal) ... It's something you know one day will happen, but still it hurts

That's happened to me as well, I had a inferniape named Seear, she was my best friend, when I went to trade her over to Pokemon gold, I had lost her
