Description This is the "finished" version of the sketch in my scrapbook. I need to fix a couple of spots with watercolor when I get home. Blagh. Blood sweat and tears went into this.

Media used: Graphite pencil, cheap, nasty colored pencils, Prismacolor pencils, watercolor, ballpoint pen, black and white Gesso. Paper is tinted pinkish grey, 50% recycled materials.

Absolutely gorgeous. The diverse media blend seamlessly -- I especially like the use of the tinted recycled paper.

I LOVE the flowing aspect of this piece. The feeling of wind, and especially the feathers...wonderful feathers. The use of colors and shadows is wonderful

This is so beautiful. I wish I could do real media like this. I love the colors, and I love the shading. The composition is absolutely wonderful. SO many wonderful little details in this. :3

Oh God, it's such a pain to do real media, though. I had to touch this one up in Paint Shop because I spilled Gesso on it (I'm sure you heard my shriek!), but otherwise, I didn't change it from the original.

....which is no longer mine, I'm happy and sad to say.

lovely work... man... I"m just not really able to express myself today, but Imust say, I'm very impressed. Natural mediums can be a pain to work with at times, but the result is just phenomenal, on this piece at least.

Wow, that's absolutely gorgeous. You ought to frame this and hang it up, it really is a wonderful piece of art, and one of your best. All sorts of details are great...the way his hair merges with the feathers, and the lighting on the faces, especially the noses. *loves the noses*

Wow Beff... thank you... O_O You need to play with tinted paper, though... it doesn't change your palette of colors like plain black does, and you can use the background color to enhance the drawing. The noses were fun... ^_^

Holy snap! It's Ben! I hope this means you're coming with me on Sunday... give me a call tomorrow morning, dearie? I'll be home then. We must straighten out the details because I CANNOT go to see him alone.

Now, for the reason I am actually here... this. Is. Beautiful. It's so easy to tell that you put an enourmous amount of work into it... it's simply beautiful. I'm sorry I cannot say any more than that. I am very taken with this. Lovely.

Did you hear about this one guy who left paintings of President Bush and Clinton in the Metropolitan and Googenheim Museums that were painted with tempura and his own semen?
