Description
This is my contribution to ~Aleeth prize for winning second place in our contest. Her OC Ezechiel.Sorry ~Aleeth but I'm afraid I had to simplify his Tiger Tattoo a LOT to make it work on his neck. Hope you like my take on him anyways. He was such a lovely character to draw.

I can't wait. She's going to do Silme and Arrae too, basically on the other side of the room, so that the two pictures can be hung together and show one scene. I'm sooo excited. I want to print them both out, frame them and hang them up in my bedroom!

Oh? I thought it was much easier to give a character thinner lips. Whenever I draw/paint realistic art (which I hardly do anyway), lips are one of the hardest to render, especially fuller lips. I think it takes a lot of precision in the shading to make lips look really good and glossy@_@ Btw, have you ever considered using color pencils for your traditional drawings?

Ah not for me. They just look...wrong to my eye. Even when I go for thin, I'll end up plumping them up when I start shading them. I like to say I'm compensating, hehe. (I don't have super thin lips, but they definitely aren't plump either).
I've added a little color to a few of my drawings, mostly to the eyes. I recently tried to draw Raikou from Nabari no Ou and did his hair pink (tricky considering I didn't have a pink pencil). Would have been fine, but then I decided to add brown to his eyes too, and it looks WRONG, hehe. I'm not very good with color I'm afraid.

I feel it's not easy to color with traditional media. Digital is much easier haha. I color my drawings using trial and error, so you can imagine how dependent I am on the "undo" key.

I can't even tell you how much I would LOVE an undo key, hehe. After a while, you just can't erase an area anymore, particularly as dark as I get with some of my shadows/detail/hair etc.

Yeah. There's also the chance of erasing a hole in the paper>.< Happened to me a couple of times (it normally involved drawing hands). Sometimes I wish I can draw digitally but I'm not very efficient with it T_T

I've never erased an actual hole, but I have made the paper so rough, or smooth, that it won't take shading again. Ugh!

His eyes were a blast to draw. His hair....aaaahh, I never want to attempt short white hair again. It barely looks like I did anything to it, but I worked on it forever!!

That tiger tattoo was quite a challenge. How to put it on there so that it would lay right, and look like part of his skin, and look natural. I've never attempted such a complicated tattoo before.

Oh, thank you so much! The hair was really tricky, and I still don't think I quite got it perfect. Layers, and layers, and layers of work, and then blending and erasing, and adding more layers to try and create depth without loosing the white color. *eye twitch*
