In the beginning there was nothing but time and space. Light, darkness, life, and death all had yet to exist. Time had no boundaries. As it mended with nothingness, molding…something. Evolution was on the rise as things evolved and changed. From nothing came darkness. From darkness came light. From light came life. From life came death. From all of these came the 5 Greater Plains of Existence.
In the beginning there was Tempus meaning “Time,” and Kuuhaku meaning “Space.” There were the two of them and nothingness. They decided to observe the extent of their powers. Tempus used a white gem from the amulet she wore about her neck, and she infused with it time and space. From this came the very first star. They were pleased with their creation so from this they decided to create more. Tempus took the light of the star and fused it with time and space from this came a great orb of light. The light from the star disappeared. She then used the darkness of the star with time and space and from this the creation of an extremely dark orb was created. The only thing that was left was the life of the star. From this Tempus took, and molded with space and time and created an orb filled with life. The star then died. She then took the death of the star and molded it with time and space and created an orb of death. Tempus and Kuuhaku were pleased with the orbs they created so they decided to go further. They placed the orbs in front of them and thought. If their powers did so much together as separate beings imagine what they could do together. So from this idea they created a new being from within them. Fusing themselves together they created a being of both time and space Tempus Kuuhaku…Sonzai Futatsu, a being of two, a full being. With this new power they were able to further the creation of these orbs creating a life out of each one of them: Life, who was named Seimei Juujitsushita; Death, who was named Zetsumei Nushi Kami; Light, who was named Luminarium Percussum; and Darkness who was named Ankoku Uwadzutsumi. The beings then created their own realms where they would reside.
The Plain of Life, the Mortal Realm, humans and creatures alike shared this fruitful Plain. Life was abundant, flowing from every pore, every thought, from every existence. This once, in the beginning was known as the Land of Eden, but due to the greed and corruption of the humans this land is no longer a land worth calling Eden. Seimei Juujitsushita is the being that created such a plain. Her sole duty is to look over her vast creation. Her name meaning “Full Life” or “Full of Life.” She is known as one of the “Sekkyoku Seishous” or beings of “Positive Energy.” As her name interprets she is a being full of life and spirit. Her cheerful attitude and outlook on things is somewhat an irritation to her younger brother. Who as you guessed is her opposite, and is known as Zetsumei Nushi Kami whose name has several interpretations? Some interpret his name as “Death of a God” “Death God” or “God of Death.” He is known as one of the beings of Shoukyoku Seishou beings of “Negative Energy.” He over sees the Plain of Death or the Realm of the Dead. This realm is the proceeding realm to the realm of life. In the realm of life things do not exist forever there. They live out there existence until their frail bodies wither away. Casting their souls to the realm below. Death is the walking talking inhabitants of this realm. Darkness. Zetsumei Nushi kami though he will not admit it, adores his older sister. Things of cheerful nature and happiness do not concern Zetsumei. He’d rather sit in a corner and watch as life withers away.
Luminarium Percussum is the source of the realm of light. Her names meaning “Piercing Light” or others interpret it as “Piercer of Darkness.” She is a member of the Sekkyoku Seishous. Lumininarium or Umi has never been the one for words. She is a fighter, as she loves to destroy things. She is constantly sparing with her comrade and long time friend Ankoku Uwadzutsumi whose names mean “Enveloping the Darkness” or “Piercer of Light” resides over the realm of darkness. Anokoku or Koku believe it or not spends most of his time in the realm of light. He has never been one for war, or hate, so naturally the darkness is not for him, but unfortunately he has a knack for such a thing.
The realm that is a mystery even to these beings is the realm that started everything. The Realm of Nothingness. People refer to this realm as Dolog Nyitott meaning “Open Nothingness.” It is believed that this realm is the beginning of everything. Everything has originated for this realm. There is no way having known anything about this realm because there is no way to enter this realm. It is a place that can only be explained by the imagination.
Nothing. Reaching out his finger Kuuhaku grazed the tip of Tempus’ finger. The only feeling…old, dull. We need something new, something that we would not grow tired of. There is nothing. The feeling of nothing was tiresome. Thoughts rushed through his head as he caressed the green pendant around his neck. Kuuhaku seemed to be less mature than Tempus in wisdom. Their age was unknown for they did not age…just existed. Tempus who already has grown tired of such play…nothing. Already had thought out something. She wanted to attempt something new. Turning to her brother she held in her hand the pendant around her neck, a white gem. They knew not what these gems were for. Kuuhaku stared at the pendant as Tempus started to infuse her ability of time with it. It started changing, turning cloudy, then clear, and then white again. As she continued this he noticed that the pendant started to appear withered and worn, and then good as new. This gave him an idea. He then applied his power of space with the gem and time. In doing so the gem began expanding. As it grew it became brighter, changing. It began growing enormous, trillions of times their size. They kept this up until it stopped expanding. Tempus and Kuuhaku observed this brilliant ball of light. They decided to call it Kyohaku Seimei, “Star of Life.” This was the name they came up for it because from this star of life they would create other beings of life. Tempus let her power of time flow. As it wrapped in and out of the flames of the scorching star, ripping the flames and the brilliant light with it. As Tempus extracted the flaming light from the star it began to grow dim then…dark. Kuuhaku then infused this manifestation with his own power of space. This then began to distort the enormous ball of energy as it compressed into a simple orb, an orb of light. Tempus clasped the orb in the palm of her hand. Her gazed was directed towards the enormous ball of energy now pitch black. Her gaze then met Kuuhaku’s, as he comprehended what was being directed of him. Kuuhaku slowly reached out his fingertips as if to grab for the enormous ball of energy. He then closed his eyes letting his power direct itself. As his power flowed from his hands it engulfed the blackness of the star compressing it until it shrunk and molded into what he was looking for, the orb of darkness. With the light and darkness ripped from the star the life poured out surrounding them with a feeling of fill. Tempus could no longer hold back her eagerness, as her eyes were heavily crowded with glee and a hint of impatience. With a lighting quick swipe she clutched the essence of life as she ripped and yanked it from the star. Sighing Kuuhaku thought this to be somewhat troublesome. As Tempus clutched the essence of life between the grasp of her two palms she began to compress it, pushing it inwards until it crystallized into a bright and extravagant orb. She slowly raised it to eye level so she could admire her creation. The light and life of the gem flourished acrossed her face revealing the remaining excitement she was trying to conceal. The orb of life…such a beauty she thought. This orb she would personally attend to. Tempus slowly turned away still admiring the orb in the palm of her hand. She began to wander aimlessly away as her attention drifted away from the remaining essence. Kuuhaku sighed. “Such an act is beneath you, Tempus.” He mumbled. He then gathered the remaining essence. This essence was an essence to be admired as well, as it flourished just as the essence of life but in a different way. A slight grin escaped his lips as he began to mold this magnificent essence into an orb he could appreciate, the orb of death. When all was finished Kuuhaku slowly turned and walked away.
Not knowing how much time has passed since the creation of the four orbs Tempus and Kuuhaku grew tired of playing with such things. Kuuhaku thought back on the creations, how powerful their abilities were when they used them together. A thought flashed through his mind. He slowly turned towards Tempus staring deeply at her. Tempus shivered as she looked up. “Why do you watch me so fiercely brother?” she asked as she scowled at him. “A thought.” Kuuhaku replied as his intense gaze never left her. Tempus growing extremely irritated gritted her teeth. “Your answer is as confusing as the nothingness that surrounds us.” Tempus replied. “That is the problem, Nothingness. I grow tired of such emptiness, I…want…more.” Kuuhaku said as he began to shift his position. Kuuhaku rose to his feet. Frowning he said: “Only one.” His gaze began to wander through the emptiness around them. Lost in thought he began to drift away from his sister.
