Description
One of three aspects of the Morrigan, goddess of war. Macha feeds on the heads of slain enemies. Was going to add some celtic tattoo work on her face but liked it better this way. Felt by hiding her eyes, it would make her more mysterious and dark. I have many photos of myself in a cloak and though not from the side, used myself as a loose model. Crows because they tie in with the Morrigan and they are one of my favorite animals. Sister of Badb, Morrígan, and possibly of Nemain.As a tripartite goddess of war, Macha was one of the three aspects of the Morrígans. Macha died with her husband in the Second Battle of Mag Tuired (Moytura); they were killed by Balor's destructive eye.
She was once known as Macha, the red war-goddess.

Photoshop is worth learning it takes a bit at first but is fun to go along and do so. Im still learning it, everytime i get the hang of one version a new one comes out!

I love crows they are my favorite birds, and Morrigan and all her aspects are fun to paint so Im glad people like the crow in the painting

Eyes are usually what people are drawn to I think, but hiding them seemed to help this painting alot.

This is wonderful! The profile has a certain delicate mystery, and that crow is the icing on the cake! I adore crows - they're my favorite birds, so you can imagine my delight in finding this incredible picture.

crows are my favorite bird also, they keep appearing in my art for that reason :d excpect more to come, excuse my spelling baby in my lap grabbing keys.

its funny, i use to take forever doing feathers, going blind to do detail and the best way to do them is simple painting over drawing. Took me a bit and some of my eyesight but i got the clue
