Description Urban Angel

twisted aluminum foil halo
tie-dye tattered wings
and a black lace slip
that hangs limply on your hips
caught on the curve of your swollen lips
eyes the same hollow hue of a highschool pool
surrounded in a mist of black eyeliner
calling out "hello" and "stay"
you know girl, he left anyway
white skin pulled around, like a loose blanket
i keep expecting you to take off
your viens that stretch like lazy blue fingers
needle tracks like footprints in the snow
small ankles and feet to match
the first thing they notice when they get you naked
is your black toe nailpolish
angel, always proud of your tie-dye tattered wings
broken halo, well you know its only aluminum foil
and i can build you a new one if you like

i agree with neptune about the part and i get confused with the tiedye imagery fused with the raven haired, pale skin diva bit... some lines are really good and others not so much. but that's as usual, i suppose

I too love this. I get a mental image from this poem, which means you have done well desribing her. Heh...she reminds me of a friend I have. I love these "urban angels". Keep writing!

Very sweet. This is some great work to be sure. The only bit I don't like is,"calling out 'hello' and 'stay' / you know girl, he left anyway". I don't know, seems kind of contrived. Don't get me wrong, other than that I love it. Love,
