One thing I've learned about curves is that 50% of them come from picking a proper camera angle that favors them. On this subject, I seeΒ lot of renders that waste this potential by pickingΒ aΒ flatΒ angle, and that also use too much light, which can easily flatten a lot of curves. That's how lights and cameras can do half the work, or instead flatten everything.

Agree. I can take the same figure and it always surprises me how much it can change based on angle and light. I would also say and maybe its obvious, but the pose can do wonders. Especially depending on the figure. Some pose well and others not really.

And yet, a great figure on the perfect pose can still be ruined with the wrong camera framing and flat lighting. I am saying this on my own experience. ^^
