They look so completely concentrated in the moment. You've never seen a kiss that intense in any other Star Trek film/TV.

Very true, but I hope they add more intimate moments between Spock and Uhura in future movies. They make an amazing couple!

I hope so too and I hope they set it up as subtly as they did in this film. It feels apropriate that they keep their relationship low profile and that it should be shot that way. Okay so this scene they weren't exactly low profile but he tought he was going to die! Can you blame him or her for wanting to throw caution to the wind at that moment?

Smooching on the holopad pretty much dashed Spock and Uhura's chances for a 'low profile' relationship. Unless of course, Kirk threatened every witness to keep it a secret under pain of a slow, horrible death.

Kirk probably would threaten with death and likely bribe Scotty with alcohol while he was at it. Of course then Uhura and Spock would owe him and who knows what that entails!

That's exactly what Kirk wants! What's a little blackmail among friends, anyway? That is...until Uhura gets her hands on him (around his neck, most likely). She wouldn't be as logical about the situation as Spock would be. (or was that merciful?)

I truly can't decide who's more dangerous, Spock or Uhura. God help Kirk if he ever gets stuck in an elevator with Uhura though. He probably can't help but flirt with her and if she doesn't kill him than Spock will. He'll probably pry that door open with his bare hands. And to be honest I like this Kirk and would rather not see him flayed alive.

I'm going to believe that Kirk matures a bit more next film and will simply blackmail them for juicy details. One such detail I would like to see him pry out of them is how they actually hooked up. You got to admit, lots of girls would want to know how to bag themselves a Spock.

There's been quite a few fic speculations on how they hooked up. The most logical (haha) scenario would be at Starfleet Academy. Any other location would be more fuel for the fire.

I did read on some site called Memory Alpha that it is confirmed they hooked up while at Starfleet Academy, but not how.My theory is that she made the first move and he must've been receptive because he didn't say no.

We all know it's not impossible to gain the love of a Vulcan but I'm sure it's quite an adventurous relationship. Unless the person prefers Klingons...or heaven forbid: Cardassians! LOL. (and not the air-headed kind)
