Ace is canonically a Friend To Cats and I think this is the best thing ever. Someone found him curled up with Kotatsu and laughed too loud, thus waking him up. Ace is now weighing up whether to pursue and commit fiery murder or go back to sleep; Kotatsu is pulling my late Mali-cat's favourite trick of 'if I can't see light I'm still asleep'.

The freckles, do you mean? I love Ace's freckles, they're so cute XDD I always forget little details when I draw him, tbh - like in this pic his elbow brace is missing, and his knife, and I just realised I forgot his tattoo as well

I thought at one time of the wrinkles, but now I think I'm just his younger brother brought him . In any case, to me they really really like , heh xD
Well, I think that this is a normal problem when the character a lot of detail. You may want to open a single image in its full height and just see what you forgot and what is not.

Yeah, I should be drawing with references, honestly. I used to draw the Whitebeard Pirates all the damn time, but I've forgotten a lot over the past few years, I'm gonna need references again. >.<

Yeah, that show that Ace and more worried about other than the about hissrself ( Which is not true about childhood xD Although he was worried not only about themselves)
I think not only the novel we will show it. The manga is not finished yet, and knowing the ratio of Oda to Ace, I think he has not just talk about it. For example, something about him may remember Marco, because it is not very much shown on Whitebeard's ship At least I hope it, and I think that not only I xD

I think maybe it's just that he was worried about something at all - he didn't seem to really care about what happened to himself, which makes sense given that he thought he was a monster unworthy of existence (tried to deny it to himself, but it's pretty clear that he really did believe it deep in his heart, i think) but then along came Sabo and Luffy, who proved themselves as brothers, and then when Sabo "died" it proved to Ace that he had something to worry about - something to protect! and now I'm crying, someone give this boy a hug xD

Yes, I think the way it is.
He needed those who could show that he is worthy of life , like everything and he has nothing to worry about.
I think he is also worried about his team. They clearly had a good relationship, if they followed their captain to another ship. and it's very touching and cool.
But I think it was thanks to Luffy and Sabo, ACE became what he became. And Dads just worried about him, though, and not really showed him XD
Therefore , I wanted so much to prolong his life and make a family that will love him ... tears on my eyes ;_;
