Description
So I wanted to redo one of my OCs from Witch of the Wood, which plays around with Arthurian legend and I add a few of my own characters. One of those which gets the most attention (next to quarterstaff-bearing Roshanara), is Isabelle, the woman in the picture. Her name was originally Gylda, however that name never really sat well with me so I changed it. And honestly it's a much better fit for her. Some parts of her backstory have remained the same, like being an orphan raised in an abbey who becomes a scholar, despite facing the barriers of gender. However, where I originally had her being not religious, I decided that she would be spiritual, just not in the traditional sense of the time. For example, she believes that God is genderless and questions other aspects of faith but still ultimately believes. Isabelle also has trouble seeing things close up, so she carries a little looking glass wherever she goes. I rather enjoy Isabelle as a character for her confidence and fearlessly flirtatious nature as well as her passion for the pursuit of knowledge. She is unafraid of conflict and happily willing to debate.
As for why she is standing next to Sir Palomides in her nightrobe...well, let's just say they develop an interesting relationship.
