I had so much fun drawing the mother and daughter mermaid commission I decided to draw another one for myself. Actually there are several more in various stages of sketch fest coming up. My goodness, this is so amazing! I'm somewhat picky about art depicting mythical creatures; I like a good balance between a sort of supernatural/surreal beauty while still having things pretty realistically proportionate. I think you've made a really great blend here, and I love the combo of the mediums! Was this done with colored or graphite pencils, some combo thereof or something else? Please keep up the amazing work!

How long does it take for you to complete each drawing?

Depends on how much detail and if I'm in the right state of mind. Can be as little as 1 hr and can be up to 5. Most fall in the middle ground of around 3ish.

I went to college, but it was a complete waste of 4 yrs (for at least the years and where I went.) I still consider myself self-taught because other than Figure Drawing classes really helping me with anatomy.... it didn't do much else. I taught myself computer too because I had to know computer work for my job and just jumped in and went for it. It's why although I had painting classes I don't paint! My teachers never taught me how to make my colors look good without getting muddy! >_< lol
