Maybe Celestia and Luna don't sleep, maybe they just meditate?Β
By the way I absolutely loved the season premiere, it was MIND-BLOWINGLY AWESOMAZING. What did you think of it?

Edit: it would seem that ppl think that her eyes were intended to look closed, but they're actually open. She's in a trance.

Well, seems a lot of people like to "meditate" at work.
You did an wonderful work on this piece with her mane, her anatomy and that background. Celestia is a beautiful mare who deserve lot of love.
It was a wonderful episode. These flashbacks... Gosh!

I simply must say that I am very much loving this piece very much. Not just because Celestia happens to be my favorite princess, but because of your signature artistic style that you have! I love the way that you shaped the clouds and made the textures soft in the contrast to the solid linework that you made around the elegant and incredible character design! The way that you also crafted the stars is quite impressive as well! The tqinkling anf the variations in size really help to add a wonderful scale to this piece as well as several radiant light sources! There is also the expanse of the environment itself as well which is incredibly well done! I love the way that the subtle darkness fades and creeps around the light! This adds so much depth and also accents the colors incredibly well! This is another fantastic addition to your amazing gallery of art and I do so hope to see much more very soon!
