One thing I never understood is why Astro Boy runs around in nothing but boots and tiny pants.

He wears ordinary costume in some times, but it's broken in battle every time. And his pants and boots is very strong then them are not broken and stay on his body, I think.

I think that it's because clothes would cause drag and air resistance when in flight.
