Random elf: "I want some gloves..."Me: "You can't have gloves, the only skin in the picture would be your face and I can't have that."
Random elf: "Can't I hug my cloak around myself instead of letting it flutter around like that?"
Me: "No you can't. Stop whining."
Random elf: "I'm cold...."
Me: "Pull yourself together, only another hour or so!"
Hey, maybe that's why he's looking so moody. XD Poor elf.
I was just reading a tutorial I stumbled upon, and as soon as I saw the sketch there, I immediately had this picture in mind... So yeah, you can say the pose is shamelessly ripped from that tutorial. ^^'

That's exactly the thing that suggested that maybe I should use references more often...
EDIT: I've tweaked the background a bit. The shadows are a bit more interesting now and (hopefully) suit the elf better.

Everything about it is quite wonderful. *turns to the elf in the picture* And one thing you need to learn my dear elf, is that cloaks fluttering in the wind look much cooler and heroic than having it wrapped around oneself. Because that doesn't look particularly heroic. Because anyone would do that!

Aww, that poor freezing elf... Maybe if he wasn't that skinny, he'd be less cold.
I really like the cold atmosphere of the picture, and the elf's outfit is just amazing. My only critique is that between the cloak and the elf's back you can see a piece of mountain without the snowy texture covering it.

Yeah, the whole pose is somewhat screwed up - literally. O_O I mean, I actually tried to stand like that, and it's not a pose you could survive a sitting (or standing) for a painting for long... XD
