Description Afghan Girl.
One of the most recognizable portraits of all time. Sharbat Gula was living as a refugee with her grandmother and siblings in Pakistan, as her parents were killed in the Soviet Strike.

Featured on the cover of the June 1985 issue of National Geographic,. The photograph was taken when she was around 12 years old.

9h, 5b, 6b, 8b graphite pencils and I definitely started this in August u_u Procrastination at its finest.

Thanks! I really liked the eyes so I figured I would contrast them/bring them to focus as much as I could get away with just because I loved them so much.
