WOOT Checkpoint 1 done! Here we have the three gals Akira, Tierra and my Valencia about to start running off towards the ocean and away from the bachelors sighted in the distance!

~~~~~~~~~~ CUE RP CHUNK ~~~~~~~~~~

    Soon the whole group surrounded Ba’Yagu, and she was already beginning to speak as the last of them gathered. Valencia saw that the old mare’s cart had gotten stuck, not much to her surprise, only confirming her thoughts from before.
  She suddenly spoke in the direction of Valencia and the other two mares.
  “Tierra, Akira… and,” Ba’Yagu paused, and gave Valencia an absurd expression, apparently unaware of her presence before now. “and you. All three of you go and run ahead, be quick and silent, and head for the ocean, when you get there, stay put.”
  I was born to be quick and silent, Valencia thought with a smirk. She then heard the old mare swiftly addressing her orders to the remainder of the group. Akira suddenly bolted, following orders right away; but Val stayed put for a moment longer, watching the friendly palomino mare, Tierra, whispering to the stallion she heard before by the name of Illucid. Oh get a meadow, why don’t you.. Valencia rolled her eyes, it was rather cute though, the obvious interest Tierra had in him; or at least obvious to her.
    Val watched Tierra then return towards her, and noticed Akira looking back at them puzzled. Tierra nodded slightly, and bounded over to Akira; they exchanged quiet words and Akira came back over to Val just as she was picking up her feet to follow them.
  “I…know how you feel…you’re independent and can take care of yourself. Trust me, I know that more than anyone. I want nothing more than to just take off on my own. I’d be able to hide from the baches better and just generally be off better off on my own. But there’s a time and a place for that. And right now….we’re entering new territory that we’ve never even heard of before, let alone stepped foot on. Without Ba’Yagu, we wouldn’t even know about this place…this possible sanctuary away from the other herds.”
  Akira spoke kind and understanding words to her; once again surprising Valencia of how alike they were. The mare then started in Tierra’s direction slightly, “I’m not telling you what to do, just offering my advice. You choose your own path. But I can only hope to say…that I’ll see you there.”
  Valencia caught Akira’s smile just before she sped away after Tierra. “I suppose I could get to like this one..” she spoke to herself, grinning mischievously. The young mare almost leaped into a gallop and caught up to the two in seconds, coming up on Akira’s side. “You’ll be seeing me there alright, but you’ll be seeing my tail there first!” Valencia teased, making sure not to speak too loud due to the fact that the bachelors were still in the area, but stuck her tongue out playfully and galloped ahead of the two; she was reminded of her excitement and curiosity of what could lie ahead on their journey to the new island. I can already smell the ocean..
