Snow here, believe it or not. It's actually beginning to accumulate as night begins to fall. It's so lovely, and an unexpected bonus since I was thinking we were not going to have snow this year.

we've made some changes - mostly we are NOT using the two wall heater/AC units that we'd been using almost non-stop! (There is one in the converted garage/"man-cave" and one in my daughter's 'granny-flat'; both rooms are poorly insulated we've discovered!) And we're getting the whole layering clothing thing

Yes, we've been trying to keep our heat down to 65, a difficult task in a poorly insulated house, since the cold radiates through the walls and floor. I spend lots of time in woolen socks and hoodies! Our two chihuahuas like to crawl under the blankets and stay there.
