I know some people might've already done something like this but I opted for indies I know and love as oppose to only popular indies.
Bit.Trip, although too obscure to even consider it, I just love the series too much to not see it touched apon as much as it should. Decided for it to just give Commander Video Shantae's clothes and go from there.
Scott Pilgrim. I know its already a popular indie but still. Anyway we all been wanting a side game for Shantae. Most of us said fighter, others said RPG. Might do something different for a Shantae Fighter thing and just picked ScottP as an alt. Plus it actually would be pretty sweet to see a cameo or something.
Giana Sisters I did by hand. Based it on the 2D artwork instead of the sprite based stuff like the last too. I just love the art style more. Did try balancing the chiildish look of Giana with the design of Shantae. It's the best I can come up with and I like it.
I don't know any other indies though that I would enjoy doing. Undertale is so over done.
