Yesterday was my good pal and her twin sister's birthdays, so I decided to make them some gift art of their QFTQ counterparts! This was a blast to draw and color, and since Lanathairs are some of my favorite dragons to draw from this story, I just had to make as many details pop as I could, even if it was a little late... :'3

So before Aureia joined the main bunch, she lived on the rolling plains protecting the sheep that raised her from birth. The dragon pictured with her is her twin sister Argris, who was raised together with her. The two often teamed up against their enemies, and had been inseparable since they were born. Her long brown hair is characteristic of most female Lanathairs; Aureia's was accidentally zapped off by Argris during a play-fighting routine, and has stayed that length ever since (I'm playing with the idea of dragon hair being unable to grow back). Argris, like Aureia, is adamant about protecting her flock, though at first is a bit more willing to listen to reason, namely when the other three main dragons arrive on their territory and explain that they do not mean any harm. Her facial scar was received in a brutal fight against a Thunderbird, the most feared predator of the highland sheep flocks aside from other dragons. These massive eagle-like birds prey are capable of killing dozens of sheep in a single attack. Their greatest advantage against Lanathairs is their own ability to produce and fire lightning bolts, thus making them immune to the Lanathairs' electrical attacks. When Argris engages the Thunderbird head-on, it slashes her in the face with its talons and knocks her to the ground, breaking her wing. Aureia and the others then work together to fight back against the assailant, until it is finished off by Aterlith. Later as the sheep help to nurse her wing back to health, she hears of the feral crisis from the other three and convinces Aureia to go with them, for fear that they may someday turn feral and kill their own sheep family. Argris then stays behind to heal and protect the sheep from immediate danger while her sister goes off to ensure their long-term safety.

Btw, Aureia in latin roughly translates to "Golden Fleece", while Argris roughly translates to "Silver Fleece"
