Quiet slow steps on lush foliage, eyes wide and focused to take in the light of the prey, a feathered meal in waiting... A tale well known by anyone who knows cats. This saber-toothed feline takes advantage of a preening bird who feels a little too safe in the treetops of this primordial forest. Pay attention bird, your doom is just a few feet away!This one is for Spottacus, of his saber-toothed cat, Toofs. Played with some fun new brushes on this one, and exactly zero texture/photographic elements this time!

That moment when one your claw gets stuck in the wood making you head bump right before the bird, and bird laughs at you, jumping on your head while your still stuck and your other paw is beneath your chest, stuck too. BIRDS.

Haha so true! My cat gets her claws stuck in everything, even when we're trimming on a regular basis. Claw stuck = instant buzzkill.

I love the framing on this. Especially when in full view it immediately reminds me of some nature photography of leopards and prey and it's certainly one of those shots-of-a-lifetime pictures!
